Thousands of sandhill cranes winter near Birchwood each year, and this free festival celebrates their return with live raptor shows, live music, book readings, and shuttle buses to viewing areas — including the Cherokee Removal Memorial Park, a real Trail of Tears departure site. Held annually in mid-January (2026: Jan 17-18). Free admission.
