Ross's Landing
101 Riverfront Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN — Downtown riverfront
The historic downtown landing on the river, anchoring the Tennessee Aquarium plaza and riverfront. A popular starting point for river cruises, and a scenic spot to watch the water traffic go by. Right beside the Aquarium, The Passage (the "water stairs") is a free, wadeable stairway waterfall and memorial to the Cherokee Trail of Tears, which began here — the water runs early May through September (daily 8:30 AM–10 PM) and is off the rest of the year, though the dry stairs are usable year-round. The natural amphitheater hosts large free festivals and concerts, such as the 3 Sisters Bluegrass Festival.
